We
partner with other organizations, large and small, to co-create
experiential programs that connect children of all ages with the
Soul of Nature.
We bring together interpreters of the Greensong with young people
– enrolling, inspiring, coaching and offering them hands-on
experiences that tap into their creativity and connect them with
the Earth.
We sponsor activities such as planting gardens, permaculture,
reforesting wilderness, environmentally conscious arts, and ecological
solutions to local needs, always seeking to create an atmosphere
that supports respect – for self and others, and all beings.
We have seen how respect for all beings promotes self-esteem,
a sense of responsibility, cooperation and community.

Conferences
We support the annual
sustainability conference for teens convened by Earthcare
International, whose mission is to help teenagers gain a
deep connection with the planet and their communities.
Earthcare inspires commitment, passion and wisdom in
tomorrow’s leaders so that they can create a healthy
future. Earthcare also organizes high school education
and teacher training in ecology and community.

Retreats
The Ocamora arts and ecology
retreat for girls is sponsored in partnership with the O’Keefe
Art and Leadership Program. These retreats offer girls
the chance to live, hike, swim and study with interpreters
of nature. Together, they examine the patterns of the Greensong
– the banks of a pond, a spider’s web –
and express their observations through writing, sketching,
discussion and sculptures made from found objects.

Urban
Ecology
We
partner with Permacultura America Latina to support OPA
(Organizacao de Permacultura e Arte) in their wonderful
work bringing ecology and the arts to underserved youth
in Salvador, Brazil. The young people learn to work collaboratively,
creating gardens, art, designs for sustainable environments,
and a unique kids’ circus that delivers ecological
messages in local neighborhoods. Greensong also helps present
their work to audiences in the U.S.A.
